My name is Max, and I’ve been a professional photographer for several years now.   I've been passionate about arts and photography in particular,  since childhood, buying my very first camera at the age of 11.

 

I have moved into professional photography late in life, after a full and successful career in Social Work, eventually deciding to follow my passion for still image.  

 

I studied Fine Art  Photography at Kingston University in London, completing my studies with a First Class Master's Degree in Photography.  My combined artistic and social work background inspire me  to capture the true essence of the subject, be that a portrait, a landscape, an object or a story... That which is hidden beneath the layer of mere appearance.  

 

In portrait photography I am driven to capture the aspirational, the hopeful and the dreamer in the subject, in the effort to blend it with the true and visible picture of the subject.

I believe a photographer is a storyteller and as such I will spend time with a subject to create a portrait, to capture a landscape or to tell a story through pictures.

A long career in Social Work has thought me to respect and be true to the subject. and to give it the time and commitment it commands.
